In March 2007 the Theatre Program of the University of Southern Queensland produced Macbeth for the Shakespeare in the Park Festival. The production played 17 nights in Toowoomba, Fraser Coast and Springfield. 

Twelve years later, in 2019 a production of Macbeth was presented at the Arts Theatre, USQ as a third year production of the Theatre Program.
